Mixed Media is such fun. I have so many products I collect. I experiment with mediums. Add and subtract. Blend. Put some pan pastels in and then paint on top. Sometimes I use things I have collected from my brothers’ home in Maine such as cracked shells or seaweed.
Silver? Why not. What is next? All of this adds to the layers on the paper adding texture and depth.
Collage I always loved collage pieces in galleries and museums, at Art of the Carolinas I had fun with Bob Burridge. While I use Washi tape or things from magazines, my collages are made mostly from pieces of my old paintings.
