“HerStory” 2022 Exhibition of Art by Women Artists
I was one of more than one hundred artists that took part in this online juried exhibit. Online you can read about how artists were chosen.
In February of 2021 my local paper, The Pilot, published in Southern Pines, NC wrote about me, my art, and how I cope with MS. I love the article and that they show photos of me and my dogs, Buddy and Baci, too. And Smokey, my tabby even has a cameo!
Healing Power of Arts and Artists
Both my writing and my art help heal me and I can cope better with my MS. During my time in New York I taught, wrote, and lectured about incorporating technology into the second language classroom. When I learned to paint, I continued my writing examining the differences between teaching writing and teaching and learning art.
I was one of eighty artists who took part in a juried online show from September 4 - November 11 of 2020 that looked at the spirit of resilience and art. And I was also one of the three artists who were asked for more information; thus both my art and writing were featured.
